Tell Me Tuesday #103

Last

  • Bloodstained: Ritual of the NightXbox One – This is a Metroidvania in the same style as games like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. In fact the man behind Symphony of the Night is the one who created Bloodstained. This has been one of my favorite games to play since it came out and I finally decided it was time to defeat the final boss after months and months of putting it off. I’m still playing the game in New Game + mode, but it feels nice to have finally tackled this one fully.
  • The Forever War by Joe HaldemanGoodreads – I bought a few SF Masterworks last year but never got around to even reading them, so I decided to pick it up last week and see if my brain could handle the idea of reading again. I’m very middle of the road about this to be honest, the sci-fi bits were really great and the idea of time dilation being mixed with combat deployment really worked well. I just felt that the social commentary was…off. I can see how many see it as progressive, but I can really see how others see it as very regressive. The book is somewhat unclear on which side of the message it’s supposed to be on. So this was just a 3 star read for me.

Now

  • Batman: Arkham Asylum Xbox One- This is a replay for me and I am enjoying it so much. This is probably one of the best superhero games out there (the other is the newest Spiderman, so go do yourself a favor and get that one too). I’m not going for the 100% completion on it, so it’s just been fun to unwind.
  • Bloom by Kenneth OppelGoodreads – This was an unsolicited review book that came in over the weekend and it seemed interesting enough that it seemed a good pick to help me slip back into reading. So far, at about 90 pages in, it’s pretty good.

I am so happy to see you posting and easing yourself into some reading. 😊

    Thanks for TMTing! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

    • It’s been really nice. I don’t think I’ll be posting as much on here, as I’m still not really feeling blogging if I’m being honest. It takes a lot of my time mentally, a lot of my actual time…and I just don’t get as much from it as I use to. I’m hoping that eventually it will come back to me and be fun again.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed it, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
