Tell Me Tuesday #95

tell me tuesday

Hosted by La La in the Library

I am feeling very blah lately, which translates directly into everything I do. I can’t tell you what I’ve been doing really, because I think it’s mostly been just mindlessly browsing Instagram and Facebook. I did a small amount of reading done but compared to how I read when I am normal it’s basically almost nothing.

Last

The Poet X

  • The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo – Goodreads  – This was so good! I have lots of feelings, all of them hard to summarize but I can say that I recommend it wholeheartedly. It perfectly captures the struggle of growing up struggling to fit into molds placed before you and so so much more. It’s a fairly quick read too since it is written in verse.

Now

  • The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson – Goodreads  – Still no progress….
  • The Forever War by Joe Haldeman – Goodreads – I have read a bit of this one though and I am enjoying it, despite some of the issues I have with it. It has really short chapters too, so it’s perfect for my waning concentration.

Other Updates

D&D – We have a second game going with some friends of ours. It almost fell through entirely (no comment…) but it looks like we might be able to save it with a change in DM. It’s everyone’s, but the boyfriend and I, first time playing D&D so it should be fun if we can really get it underway.

Our home game is still going strong though. We spend our game nights venting about the week, catching up on video game news, and then when that’s exhausted we settle in and become other people for a while. It’s one of my favorite nights of the week.
