Sunday Post #334

sunday post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Happy Sunday! It’s been a busy week and a bit of a blur. Work at the library is going well, and everyone is pretty nice. I’m dealing with a bit of imposter syndrome, which is normal, but it gets to me sometimes. I’ve spent so much of my free time in libraries growing up, and I spend every day surrounded by books so it shouldn’t even be a thing but the human brain is a mess. Regardless it’s really nice to be on the other side of the counter.

In none work related news, we now have a second Dungeons & Dragons game going with a different group. It has more people than our home game, and two of them are new to tabletop rpgs. Our first time meeting was last Sunday and it was pretty humorous. It definitely has a different feel to it than our home game which is more dark fantasy with a decent helping of humor and lightheartedness. This new one is a bit unorthodox so far and while that’s not normally my thing (I live to get into personal issues and face down challenges that mentally wreck characters) it was enjoyable seeing the two new players enjoy themselves. Our next game is this evening.

Two D&D groups- that’s pretty awesome! Play styles can be SO different between groups so it must be interesting! Hope the games go well. and yay for the library!

  2. I bet the different play styles will be interesting as time goes on!
Imposter syndrome sucks! If you got a job at the library, it’s because they thought you were competent for it – remember that 🙂
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  3. Anastasia says:

Ah I want to do board games! Have a great week ahead?

  4. Anastasia says:

    With an exclamation mark 😂😁

  5. Imposter Syndrome is a killer. It’s something I struggle with too. Just remember that you wouldn’t have got the job if they didn’t believe in you so believe in yourself. (Easier said than done, I know!)

  6. I’m glad to hear it’s going well at the library and that you have some great socializing outside of work. Have a good week!

  7. Glad things are going well at the library. I think it is so cool!
