The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Happy Sunday everyone! This past week has gone almost identically to last week really. I read a ton, wrote more reviews, and attempted to head off extreme boredom from not having anything to do. I am now 20 books ahead on my Goodreads Challenge (150 books), only three weeks ago I found myself 9 books behind. I think I’ve probably hit the point of ‘reading too much’. I want to bump my posts back up to 4 a week, but I am torn on doing my second review or adding in another filler feature. What features do you guys do on your blogs?
I got a chance to hang out with my best friend and did some comic shopping & used book trading, and I visited B&N for the first time in months to use a gift card. Oh and an update on my niece’s birthday, she apparently now spends most of her time dressed up while playing. So I’m two for two on birthday presents, maybe I’m not as rubbish at this as I thought?

Wow you are blowing through the books! 20 ahead? Nice. 🙂 And I like to post one review a week, so the other days I find other stuff to post, but two reviews a week seem to work on a lot of blogs too, so… whichever way you go, good luck with it!
I haven’t read Contact but I did read his older book Cosmos and really liked it.
The Art of Fantastic Beasts looks nice. I like books like that that have cool art of mythological beasties.
I love the features on your blog Greg! I had some similar ones at some point, like one where I talked about what I was watching. But I go through phases where I avoid tv at all costs, so I can’t stick with those.
Way to go and being so far ahead on your reading challenge!!! Your new books all look great! Happy Sunday.
20 books ahead is fantastic! I suck at blogging lately so I’m no help with feature ideas. 🙂
20 books ahead is fantastic! I’m flailing on my goal but I’m hoping to gain some traction with reading soon. I typically do 2 or 3 reviews a week but I’m tend to have one be mini reviews. I’m trying to think of some kind of way to have a review without actually doing a review format. Good luck! Have a great week!
I haven’t read Seanan McGuire before but she gets good feedback. Think I’m going to try her October Daye series, have you read it?
I’m glad you got to hang out with your friend. I haven’t been to B&N in years. I only go when I get a gift card because I usually can’t afford brand new books. Enjoy your new books! Have a great week.
I can’t afford them either, I’m always looking in thrift stores for stuff and I use my library like crazy. But it is nice to feel like I’m splurging a bit even if it was just a gift card. And thank you AJ!
Good to hear you were able to hang out with your friend. Kids are pretty easy to shop for until they are teens, so you have a few years to hone your skills. I finally gave up with my teen nephews, though, and give them gift cards now. 😁
