#NEWTsReadathon2018 TBR & Progress

N.E.W.T.s Readathon

This is the N.E.W.T.s readathon created and hosted by Book Roast, a booktube channel. You pick out the exams you want to try for and see if you can pass them.

(Twitter acct for the readathon: here)

So I sat for my O.W.L.s during the last week of July (you can see that here) and now I am ready to spend the month of August tackling my N.E.W.T levels. Below is my tentative TBR for each subject, I will not get to all of these…I have never managed to read anywhere near 30 books in a month but I wanted to get every subject I have available listed. If you see a class without a book, please feel free to drop some recommendations in the comments for it!

The overall goal is to get an Acceptable in at least 2 classes and to pass one of those classes with an Outstanding. You can not double up on books and you must read them in grade order.

I’m trying to become a Potions Master and take a certain job from a certain lovable pushover. So while I will definitely pass a lot of NEWTs with Acceptable I will put my focus on Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, and Herbology.

A = Acceptable   E= Exceeds Expectations   O = Outstanding

36/36 Grades Passed – ALL NEWTS PASSED WITH OUTSTANDINGS!

Ancient Runes (Outstanding Achieved!)

Arithmancy (Outstanding Achieved!)

Astronomy (Outstanding Achieved!)

Care of Magical Creature *Focus* (Outstanding Achieved!)

Charms (Outstanding Achieved!)

Defense Against the Dark Arts (Outstanding Achieved!)

Herbology *Focus* (Outstanding Achieved!)

  1. I’m also participating in the readathon and so far I’ve read two books. They are short but still count. 😀

  2. This does look like so much fun! The books you are picking are all interesting, too. 📚

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed it, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
