I am officially unemployed as of Thursday. Hopefully, I’ll get to head to the unemployment office sometime this week and maybe get lucky and get a call for the applications I’ve sent in.
In bookish news, I currently have a personal readathon going on to prepare myself for the upcoming month-long NEWTS readathon so I have done a lot of reading this week as well.

Wow it does look like you did a lot of reading. Han Solo by Marjorie Lu- that has me curious. And ooh you hauled Star Wars: From a certain Point of View, and Six Wakes. I liked a fair amount of the stories in the Star Wars one, and thought Six Wakes was good too.
The Han Solo book is pretty decent, I am a bias party as I do not like Han so it’s probably better than decent…I just kind of find him to be one giant eye roll, lol. But it definitely focuses on making him more of a person than the movies did.
I’m glad to hear you enjoyed both of those! I plan to get to Certain Point in December, and I heard about Six Wakes on a podcast a few months ago and finally caved and bought it while it was on sale.
I hope you hear something soon about the apps you done. Hope you have a good week coming up!!
Ooh, Six Wakes! I want that one.
And I hope you do hear back from those applications. Good luck!
That’s a nice book haul! Hopefully you enjoy them!
Good luck on the unemployment front. I know that can be very frustrating. Hopefully things resolve as you desire quickly.
Good luck with your reading goals. Looks like you are off to a great start.

I really enjoyed Six Wakes. I need to give The Name of the Wind another try soon. It was a great read, but I never managed to make it to the end.
I hope you’re able to get a new job soon. Enjoy your new books! The Stand is one of my favorite King novels.
Sending good vibes for your job hunt. I know you’ll get something good. 🙌
Have you read any of the Red Rising books yet? I have them all and I need to read them. Ha ha. 📚
Have a wonderful week. 🌞
Good luck with the job search! I’m sure you’ll find something soon.
