Sunday Post #302

Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

It’s been a busy week! I spent part of yesterday packing up some things I don’t need at the present moment and getting stuff together for donations and a 2nd & Charles trade in run. I’m hoping that the 2nd & Charles run happens today at some point. I currently have four shopping totes worth of books and about three 2 foot tall stacks that I have to get rid of. I unhaul books about twice a year, but I haven’t been able to actually remove them from the house in about 6 months. I use the trade in credit I get to bolster my Harry Potter Funko collection, but as of late I’ve been trying to figure out if I’m going to continue collecting them or only focus on the characters I love. The same goes for the different language editions I have. In theory, I would love to collect different editions, but I’m running out of steam when it comes to tracking them and they take up so much room. So I might just finish out the series I’ve started collecting and stick to the editions with my most coveted covers.

Good luck with your trade-in! I always liked unloading books that I didn’t need/ want and / or getting trade at used bookstores.

I need to read Ink and Bone at some point here.

  2. I recently started making my own stacks for trade in and donation. Although I am finding tackling my shelves to be more of a process than expected.

Ink and Bone is such a fantastic read. I recently picked up the second book.

    Have a great week!

Oh, collecting sounds really interesting, but it should bring you joy and not feel like a chore – maybe it’s more important to only have the characters you like rather than the entire collection. Good luck with that!

This summer’s main project this year is to sort and throw stuff, not just books. Clothes, kitchen stuff, etc. We just have too much. I have boxes in every room and we keep putting in stuff. I have a separate box for books. Some will go to friends, or the library. There is a place locally which has a monthly book sale and will buy your books which I might try in August. I love Rachel Caine’s Great library series. I’ve read the latest Smoke & Iron and the review will post July 3. It’s one of the best in the series. I’ll have to look at who does the audio; I’ve been reading them. Anne – Books in My Heart

  5. Oh wow, that must be a lot of Funko pops! 🙂
I really need to do a book sort. I’m moving house soon and it’d be nice to not have to lug them over if I’m not keeping them…

  6. I really need a trip to the used bookstore. I have a giant box of books in my closet right now. I need that space for clothes. Have a great week!

YIKES, I can’t imagine getting rid of my books! I love them all! Bless you that you can. Have a great week!

    Mary my #Sunday Roundup #24!

  8. I might make a trip to the thrift store soon, now that I am in India. And I will worry about taking the haul to Dubai later, right?

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed it, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
