Sunday Post #292

Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Thank goodness for the weekend! This week has been extremely busy. My boyfriend started his new job working at the same company I do. He took over my old job, so I have been training and helping him in addition to all of my other work as well. I enjoy staying busy so it’s been nice, but I am very tired and so is he. I also had a Dr. appt, and it seems my sinus infection is on the way out though with spring finally starting I’m having allergy issues and I fear it might continue on. I also had Finn’s neuter surgery Friday, and he has been a sleepy little jerk which is fine by me. If he’s sleepy all he can do is complain about his cone of shame. I’ll be happy when he has fully recovered though. We also had a fun day at work on Friday, where I got to watch my co-workers play a real-life version of Hungry Hungry Hippos. Utterly hilarious.

I plan to sleep a good part of this weekend.

  1. I am trying to imagine a real-life Hungry-Hungry Hippos game and cannot stop laughing.

  2. My allergies are always terrible this time of year, so I stay on meds. Our dog also wore the cone of shame when he was neutered. They hate it, and I feel for them, but it’s also kind of funny. Have a great week!

Our kitten, Loki, was neutered on Friday as well, but you wouldn’t notice, he was as bouncy as ever. Have a great week! 🙂

I’m so behind on Lumberjanes, I think I’ve only read Vol. 1. I liked it tho. That’s funny about Hungry Hungry Hippos… I can see that being quite hilarious lolol.

Hope Finn’s feeling better soon. I had my cat fixed recently and she healed super fast, it surprised me, I was afraid she’s have to wear something if she messed with her incision but luckily she didn’t.

The real life Hungry Hungry Hippos sounds like a lot of fun! Glad to hear your boyfriend is settling in his new job, and that Finns surgery went well. Poor baby about the cone of shame though. Our Bucky, didn’t like the cone at all either. Enjoy your new books and your upcoming week.

It must be interesting to train your boyfriend to take over your job. Good luck with that. I’m imagining trying to do that with my SO….Oh dear!

Great, take advantage of your sleep. A healthy body makes for a healthy mind. I, myself, gave my son my iphone and took advantage of a few extra z’s.

  8. So interesting that the boyfriend took over your old job 🙂 did it feel weird training your boyfriend for your job?

  9. Children of Blood and Bone is definitely on my list! I was pulled in just by the cover 🙂

  10. Lol, gotta love the cone of shame. Hopefully he doesn’t sulk too long about it all. 🙂

  11. Omgawd, I can only imagine Hungry Hungry Hippos in real life! 😂😂😂

Geeze, it must be nice to get trained for a new job by your significant other. He lucked out. ☺

I hope Finn feels better quickly. 🐱 Have a wonderful week. 🌞

    • I hope it’s nice for him, lol! It’s kind of weird, but at the same time, it’s a lot easier. Finn is healing up really nicely, but he’s taking the whole cone/no hard playing thing pretty hard mentally. On the positive side, he has been more loving lately.

  12. Good luck with the new jobs. I’m envious that you got Children of Blood and Bone. I don’t read a lot of fantasy, but I’m curious about that one. Have a great week.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed it, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
