Sunday Post #277

Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

It has been an odd week. We are coming from the holiday shopping rush at the warehouse and the workflow has been much more relaxed. Christmas Eve falling on a Sunday has somewhat destroyed our normalcy as now my boyfriend has to work on a day he has off every week. So I still don’t get to spend the holiday with him. My great-grandmother passed away on Thursdays, she was 93. She helped raise me and spent much of my childhood at her house when my parents had to work, or after school. I was lucky to have her, as my grandmother had passed when I was only 8. My heart has been hurting a lot this year as I also lost my cat of 16 years back in February and I spent much of the year trying to heal from that.

However, just yesterday we did something unexpected. During our trip to the animals shelter to drop off some donations, we met a few kitties and brought one home! His name is Finn! I’m still hurting from my losses this year, but my heart is full again. Finn’s name comes from the Star Wars character. We also nicknamed him Finnasaurus Rex, as he has the markings of one of our favorite characters Rex on his forehead.

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate!
