Sunday Post #270

Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

This week turned out to be incredibly hectic, some parts were good and others were irritating. I made an appointment to see the condo on this coming Wednesday, but haven’t heard back about the actual meeting time…so I’m one moment of irritation away from canceling it and finding a new agent. I don’t do disorganization. I ended up spending a ton of money this week because of several unexpected expenses in addition to the ones that I had already planned out. But we did start a Dungeons and Dragons campaign for Wednesday evenings in addition to our Dragon Age nights on Sunday. I am also trying out some hair dye that is supposed to work without bleaching my hair, so we’ll see how it goes. I don’t have a  lot of hope but maybe I’ll get lucky. I also have a new bag coming to hold all of my notebooks for game nights instead of lugging around a HUGE backpack all the time.

  1. Halloween week is always hectic for me, especially when it is a few few days past the weekend, so I can commiserate! Are you and the BF going to buy a condo? It’s great you have gaming nights to destress from your work days. Have a wonderful new week. ☺

    • We are not sure yet, but it’s affordable and in the area, we already live in so we’re hoping that it’s a fit. We shall see!
We keep adding more people to our game night so it’s actually becoming a bit stressful for me. (Social anxiety rests for no one). I’m hoping that I can cope with it. I hope you have a wonderful week to!

  2. Do you play board games or computer games on game night?

I hope you’ll enjoy A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab – I just recently finished another series of hers the Monsters of Verity and LOVED it!!!

Have a great day and happy reading!!

    • We play pen and paper games like Dungeons and Dragons, but we do sometimes pull out the board games as well. Every night is technically game night with us though, since we play video games daily to destress after work. 😛

I’m about a third of the way through Conjuring and I love it, so I decided to spend a credit on the audio so I can actually finish it.

      • Wonderfull, I hope you’ll love the rest of the series. Schwab has an amazing collection of books.

I never plaid Dungeons and Dragons but I heard a lot about it. I did not know that you can play D&D with pen and paper.

Sorry to hear you had a bit of a hectic week. Those are always so exhausting. Hopefully this week will be better. 🙂

  4. Your game nights sound like so much fun. And I’m so curious about whats in all those notebooks!

    • They definitely are fun! I have two notebooks currently. One for current characters I play along with the notes on each game we have (things the character would remember, items they get, etc.) and the other is for past characters and notes. There are also maps, lists of spells, and even some pages filled with images of things from the game (like drawings of wax seals, letters, etc.) in both of them.

  5. I hope you’ll get good news about the condo soon. Enjoy your new books and have a wonderful week. ❤️

  6. Wasn’t an easy week for me either! Let’s hope for the best this week 🙂 D&D sounds fun though. I wish our party could play again, but one person literally left the country :/

  7. I still need to read A Conjuring of Light. I liked the other books in that series. Have a great week and enjoy your new books!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed it, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
