Sunday Post (240)

Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~ It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Motto of the week: : “What the hell is happening?” I think I’ve said this more in the past week than my entire life combined. Frustration aside, I’ve gotten a bit more productive with each passing day and I’m back to over extending myself with books and even did a lot of blog maintenance. I’ve submitted a few more applications, so fingers crossed!

RP Recap – We set out finding this clan bear, which we do and we find that it’s been possessed by a demon…so we successfully lands some sneak attacks and set about killing the demonic bear. Then it’s off to the enemy clan’s village. The snow storm is getting pretty bad so Thorin gives me the ram skin we have to wear…which still has it’s horns on it, so I now have four horns instead of two and look ridiculous BUT it covers my white hair and most of my grey skin so I look sort of like I belong in the area. We sneak in through a back enterance (a hole I broke into a fence, heh) and walk like we belong to where the necromancer is. We somehow fumble lie our way past the guards into her house, and after some more non-heroic fumbling we start the fight with her revannt guard. She tries to escape in bird form, but our dear Bianca stops her cold with two crossbow bolts. We stopped there for the night.

Yay death to the necromancer lol. I like that part “walk like we belong”. I’ve tried that a few times 🙂

Yeah this week was crazy. And today all the crap at the airports! Everything’s crazy now. SMH. Good luck with the apps!

  2. Jackie says:

You must continue with the narrator love feature. I was always a good reader, but comprehension is a little slow. I wish sometimes I was a narrator of books because I love reading to my children or out loud to whoever will listen.

  3. Drangonfly says:

YUP I have been “WTH!” all week too! Looking forward to your review of Scythe

  4. Yay! Glad you are doing better!

  5. It was a long week. Good luck with the job hunt. I hope you find something that is perfect for you.

  6. Jolene says:

I thought the Princess Diarist was ok. How did it compare to Wishful Drinking? My kids have read the Boy in the Striped Pajamas in school. They really liked it, and the movie too. Have a great week.

    • I think if I had read Princess Diarist I wouldn’t have enjoy it as much, the audio was great though because it really felt like Carrie was just telling me some stories organically.
I”m excited to read BitSP, and I think I’ll probably watch the movie afterward as well.

  7. OOh – Scythe is on my TBR – I hope you enjoy that. I always mean to pick up something by Elise Kova and just haven’t got there yet. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to binge read all her books.

I hope that you have a better week!

  8. What the hell is going on? is right! Something new everyday. Hope you enjoy your new books, Michelle.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed it, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
