This edition of Reading & Ranting is focusing in on my Kindle and the fact that for some reason I’ve put a rather large amount of time organizing my thousands of ebooks in to collections, and another chunk of time thinking of relevant Harry Potter names for those collections.
So as most Kindle users know, you can create folders (or Collections) to help organize their plethora of ebooks so it’s easier to find something to read if you’re not in the mood for a particular title. I used to use these religiously when I got my first Kindle ages ago. It helped safe guard against people from picking my kindle up and immediately finding the more steamy reads I have because I used to take it with me every where and people got a little too curious. So I started making up names other than “Fantasy” or “erotica”…My first set were something like “Fangs, Fur, and Everything in Between” or “Fight Back”.
I don’t use Collections like I use to, because there is not much of a need for it anymore…but I started renaming everything anyway and I decided to make them all Harry Potter themed folders.

I’m still brainstorming on some more collections to help separate it out further. I still need something for Paranormal Fantasy and possibly something for Young Adult, Middle Grade, and Post Apocalyptic. If you have any ideas throw them my way!
Do you use the collection option on Kindle? If so do you name them anything special?
Just beginning todo that. The shelves program on Buns and Noodle ( aka NOOK) is iffy at best
That sucks. The collections used to be sort of bothersome back when they first came out, but it’s been streamlined quite a bit
I love this! There must be something in the air because I started tidying up my collections last week. I have started with my foodie books. Deathday Party could be for Paranormal because of ghosts. 👻
