Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~ It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

I took an impromptu break from the blog this week…which basically means I forgot to schedule anything for this week, and decided not to play catch up but just work on the upcoming week instead. I miss scheduling posts weeks advance, but that requires a level of focus I just don’t have much of anymore.I started the sales at the bookstore…and I’m totally winging it. I have no idea how to approach this, but we’ll see how it goes I guess.
RP (Roleplaying, think Dungeons & Dragons) night was Wednesday…and I must say, I am enjoying the hell out of playing a warrior character in Titansgrave. I’m a Gnome Warrior, who is currently carrying two battle axes, a dagger, grenades, and a blaster pistol. I am a walking 3ft tall tank. I seriously wish I could draw out what happened Wednesday night because it was epic. If you’re wondering about if this is fantasy or sci-fi, it’s both.

Last Week

Book Haul

The copy of Nevernight is a signed first edition! I just happened to spot the last copy hidden on a bottom shelf at Barnes & Noble, and my mom insisted I get both books instead of just And I Darken. ❤

You should do a recap or summary of your game sessions or just a quick blurb about the scenarios for all us gamers who don’t get to play much anymore. 🙂 I didn’t even make it to GenCon. :(:(:( A gnome warrior w/a blaster- love it!

Tower Lord has a great cover. Enjoy your reads!

    • That’s not a bad idea! I take pretty extensive notes while playing, so I could definitely do that each week. I normally play a rogue or ranger, so rushing in and basically taking damage to protect other people is totally new to me but it’s turning out to be so much fun.

I hope you enjoyed the break from the blog. I took a little one recently and it was nice once I gave myself that permission not to HAVE to post etc…

  3. Wow, you lucked out on the signed Nevernight! Shout out to your mom, too. I played D&D back in the early 80s and I was the only girl who played in my area that anyone knew of. Sebastian said a few girls play now where he plays. I am glad it has gotten better. I hope the store closing goes smoothly. Have a marvelous week. 🙂

  4. Nice abou the signed copy!! Yeah for your Mom. I have I Darken on audio and hope to listen this fall. Have a lovely week!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed it, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
