Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~ It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Accidentally took a week off because I had no reviews typed up and didn’t feel like reading. It’s been an exhausting week punctuated with some smaller great moments. I’m finally back into walking every day again, partially because I forced myself to accountability by signing up for The Road to Loch Ness race on Make YES Happen AND the new Hogwarts Running Club race was annouced yesterday.Loch Ness requires you to log 40 miles before they send you the medal..and I want it badly, because I adore the Inverness area and Nessie. The new HRC race is actually a full marathon, but like the Ness race I’ll break it up in to several runs. The medal looks awesome and I should rack up some dedicated exercise miles quickly this month.

Books Read

  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
  • The Mighty Thor Vol. 1 (Graphic Novel)
  • The Girls from Alcyone by Cary Caffrey

Last Week

That Loch Ness race sounds cool, what a fun way to rack up the miles and yes I’ve always been interested in Inverness and Loch Ness monster too. I haven’t read any of the new Thor stuff yet…

A Hogwarts running club?! That sounds so cool 😀 I’d be more apt to run if I had someone to run with. As it is, I find myself just on the treadmill. We’re moving in a few weeks and I’m hoping to find someone to run with me as there is an awesome greenway that runs throughout the whole town. Hope you have a great week!

  3. I’m not into running at all, will walk a mile or so if I can smell the flowers and look at the scenery though. Hogwarts running club? Gosh – I guess just the name get’s people running!

  4. The hubby and I really need to walk. Running..nope not built for Although I would love to walk in the Hogwarts club. Yeah for rereading favorites. Hope this week is simply amazing my friend!

  5. Good luck with the road to Loch Ness! It is such a beautiful area!

  6. Deborah says:

I envy you your love of running… I’ve got friends who enter lots of races and it always sounds like a lot of fun. And getting a medal is even better!

Part of my last week was slack as well – behind in reviews and so no reading…. sigh…

    • Ah, my love of walking. I love running in theory, but I’m not there yet. It’s hard for me to stay motivated to do things, especially if I get sick or something and have to stop for a bit…I’ll just end up ever getting back up. So shiny things help out.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed it, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
