Darth Vader Vol. 2: Shadows and Secrets – Goodreads
This is a graphic novel following Darth Vader and a smuggler, Alphra (who he met in Vol. 1). I really like this series because it’s reestablishing Vader as a badass who doesn’t deal empty threats, while still making sure to bring forth a lot of back story and purpose.
The Force Awakens by Alan Dean Foster – Goodreads
This is a novelization of the movie, and SW is about the only thing I’ll read a novelization of because it’s important for me to see the small details that youc an’t notice in a film, missing scenes, and get inside character’s heads. is it necessary to the current canon? Not really…but it does make Han less of a goob and Phasma more justified in just giving in.
Reading Now
London Bound by Nana Malone – Goodreads
I’m enjoying this one so far. It’s a new adult contemporary that focuses on two people who are both a bit skittish to get into a relationship, but find themselves unable to distance themselves. It’s really cute and the narrators are fab!
Up Next
Kismet’s Kiss by Cate Rowan – Goodreads
My next listen for the Audavoxx newsletter! It’s the start of a fantasy romance series, and I’m pretty excited to see what it’s all about.
The Girls From Alcyone by Cary Gaffry – Goodreads
I didn’t get to this one because I basically stopped reading again, so I’m hoping to get to this as soon as possible. I need a good sci-fi in my life right now, and Kristen James as a narrator is always a treat.
The Force Awakens sounds good. I have not seen the movie yet. Sebastian had seen it so many times with his friends that by the time I got around to it he didn’t want to go again, and it was the same with my sister and nephews. My friends weren’t ino it, so I will be stuck watching the DVD. I was spoiled already, so I could probably read the book first. Ha ha. Thanks for TMTing! You have been linked, G+ed, tweeted, and Facebooked. 🙂
Ah, that sucks. It always seems like all of internet friends live impossibly far, I’d have gone with you in a heartbeat. And you could! It filled in a few gaps in the info which I appreciated, but it’s mostly the same.
Ooh Star Wars. I haven’t read Force Awakens but just started Bloodlines which just came out. I’m only 4 chapters in, it’s okay so far. I’m really hoping there’s good backstory in it…
I totally forgot Bloodlines was out until I saw Del Rey post about it this morning. I NEED to get it. I’ve read almost all the books so far, except Battlefront and one MG book… and at this point I think I’m back in full blown obsession mode.
You have quite the variety of genres going on. 😀
Variety if the spice of life. 🙂
Plus I like confusing the hell out of people when they ask ‘what you are reading’ and I list off like 4 different genres, my customers especially.
