Sunday Post (201)

Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~ It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

The 24 hour readathon was yesterday and I got some reading done finally! I also took some time to buy a few flowers and some planters for outside the store, to help spruce it up a bit. I’ll probably get a bench as well, so people have some where to sit those who wait outside for family. I’ve been getting better at this whole running/walking thing, and while I haven’t lost any weight my stomach is noticeably flatter. The same goes for the boyfriend, who is trying to lose weight. I also have a shiny new set of medals that I need to earn so I can display them, AND the next Hogwarts Running Club race is up and it’s Severus Snape themed so I signed up despite it being a half marathon. I’ll figure out how I’m going to go the distance later. 😛

Hey nice book haul. I hope you’re enjoying the Star Wars novelization- I thought about reaing it to see what details it adds to the movie, but I haven’t. Bloodline by Claudia Gray comes out pretty soon, I think. 🙂

  2. Good luck with the Snape marathon. A bench would be nice so folks can sit a read. Hope your week is a good one and you find time to read some of your new pretties!

  3. Great book haul! Hope you have an amazing week!

  4. Love the Harry Potter books!! If I had more room, I would definitely also start collecting those different versions. They are all sooo pretty! Sigh..
Good luck with the marathon and Happy reading!!

  5. Good luck with the running/walking thing, I am trying to get back in to running which I did for a summer a couple of years ago and then fell out the habit. I am using my zombies run app to spur me on!

    Have a good week!

  6. I’ve been trying to lose weight.. it’s like impossible!! I don’t know what it is. I did get a fitbit last year and that has motivated me to get going. The Hogwarts run would be so fun. I am always trying to get people to join me in these fun runs but no one ever wants to pay the sign up fee.

Well done on the read-a-thon… nothing like a challenge to get you back in the reading groove. (I’m doing a writing challenge this month and found that’s been the case!)

I continue to be impressed with your running… given that I can’t even get myself off on a walk!

  8. Dani Chapman says:

Awesome update! Enjoy all your new books!
Happy Reading! Dani @ Paulette’s Papers

  9. I love seeing all of the new HP editions that you add. Your Goodwill haul made me think of reading, or not reading, Contact. I know I started reading it, but I don’t remember if I finished it or not. Seeing the movie a bazillion times does not help with that memory. I should probably pick it up again. I will be looking out for your thoughts on The Magicians. I haven’t Made up my mind about it because even among bloggers who usually agree on ratings the reviews have been all over the place. I hope your week is going well!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed it, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
