The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~ It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
So I gained two pounds in the past week…It’s not that big a deal, but it’s kind of amazing how far I’ve come since a few years ago where gaining two pounds in a week would have been insanely impossible for me. I finished off the last bit of the Race to Oz run yesterday! Now I’m debating on signing up for another virtual race, I’ve found one with a Millennium Falcon medal that lights up. My wallet says no but my geeky heart is piratically screaming yes. On that note I’m back to looking for a work at home job that I can do while at the store…it’s been kind of fruitless though since the only skill sets I have revolves around books and or selling people books and a lot of these companies want like 4 years experience at entry level.
I’ve also been playing the Battleborn Beta on Xbox, which is a lot of fun and I’m really happy they did a story-line that can be set to private because I hate playing with people I don’t know.

Silicon Dawn looks awesome and I picked that one and Silicon Man up this week after seeing your review. They look good (love that cover of Dawn). They were nice and cheap at amazon too (2.99 I think) so bonus!
Nice haul this week, Michelle! It’s never fun when our wallet and our geeky hearts don’t agree… I hope you’ll find a solution that works for both.
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading.
Good job on the running. Bet those two pounds are allll muscle, baby. 🙂 Hope the job hunt goes well. Some insurance underwriters work from home, and I don’t think you even need a 4 year degree, just a few classes. If I remember right.
I’ll have to look those up and see if anything is available! Thanks for the heads up!
And it’s totally all muscle…or at least I’m telling myself that. I mean it couldn’t possibly be all the french fries I’ve been eating, french fries don’t even weigh that much. 😛
Awesome on the running. If you can swing the race..do it. Good luck with your job hunt. The Rogue looks yummy. Congrats on your 200th Sunday Post!
I might see if the boyfriend will sign up, and we share the medal. 😛 And The Rogue IS yummy, I’m really loving it so far. Thank you!
I’m very impressed on the running front but trying to work out if the 2lbs is a good thing or a bad thing? I’m REALLY overweight so a drop in the ocean for me but know it can be EVERYTHING!
It’s a good thing in my case. I use to be incredibly underweight because my appetite didn’t match my metabolism most days, so I just never gained weight. I’m only at 112 right now, but I used to be anywhere from the high 80’s to the mid 90s so it’s a HUGE difference for me.
Good luck with the job hunting. And congrats on the running. I’ve never been a runner but I always look with envy to people who do run.
Happy Reading 😉
There is a company that organizes hooking up people in other countries learning English with people in the US to have conversations, so they build their skills. You don’t have to know their language. A few of the moms from my son’s kid’s theater workshops who were home schooling did it for extra cash and they loved it. All you need is good internet service and a headset. Yay on gaining weight. Have a wonderful new week. 🙂
