- A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin – Really the series because the dragons don’t feature as much in this first novel as they do in the following ones.
- A Natural History of Dragons by Marie Brennan – It has such a unique tone, instead of reading like pure fantasy it has a nice light historical feel with a fantastic main character.
- Seraphina by Rachel Hartman – A dragon book with a lot of social and political issues, and plenty of feels.
- The Crystal Bridge by Charlie Pulsipher – A really interesting start to a series plenty of sci-fi and fantasy elements, and the ancients! (AKA Dragons!)
- The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien – Ever dragon lover needs to know the awesomeness that is Smaug.
- Clutch of the Demon by A.P. Jensen – This is a romance, very much bordering on erotica, but it has a really great inclusion of a dragon shifter and some great writing.
Uuuuh, so many books with dragons! I don’t think I ever read much about them, except for A Song of Ice and Fire, I have read that. Thanks for the suggestions!
No “Dragonriders of Pern?!?!” You should definitely check out that series if you haven’t already!

I was a huge fan of the Dragon Riders Of Pern books, but after about ten they all started sounding the same to me. Ha ha. Someday in the future I do plan on trying to read the rest. I still haven’t finished Seraphina. I need to do that. 🙂
