- Yes, My Accent is Real by Kunal Nayyar – I rarely read memoirs and biographies of celebrities…in fact I think this is only my second one, but it was a lot of fun. (The other was Ozzy Osborne).
- November 9 by Colleen Hoover – I enjoy hoover, but I normally avoid romances with this many feels in them. Hoover is the exception.
- Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult & Samantha Van Leer – It’s a light feel good romance, with a lot of whimsy…which I don’t normally go for, but it’s so cute!
- The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins – I tend to avoid thrillers, but I took a chance on this one and loved it!
- The Room by Jonas Karlsson – This is more along the lines of the Metamorphsis, it’s weird and different…but it’s a lot of fun to read.
- All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven – I also avoid contemporary books with things that hit a little too close to home…like living with depression. I cried so much during this and it brought on a lot of low moments, but it’s so well written and so good that I’ve forgiven it.
- The Beauty Bride by Claire DelaCroix – I’ve never tried a medieval romance before trying this one out, and I’m addicted!
- Ink by Melanie Karsak – Mermaid books are usually at odds with me for some reason, but Ink…though short…was absolutely fantastic!
- The Hot Zone by Richard Preston – Current Event related novels are another thing I avoid…But this time I fought fear with knowledge. It’s an excellent read!
- The Bees by Laline Paull – I’m used to the idea of animals taking the place of humans in stories, but only in middle grade usually…this is an adult novel, and it’s so different.
Everyone keeps telling me to read All the Bright Places. I know it was on ebook special once already, but at that time I still wasn’t sure I wanted to reasd it. If I see it for $1.99 again, I will grab it. The Room looks intriguing. I love weird stories.
