Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
This week’s focus is on characters who are also book nerds!
- Cath from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell – Cath is a writer, but she’s also an avid fan of a particular fantasy series reminiscence of Harry Potter. Cath is every fangirl who has ever shipped two people who never had a chance of being together, and then submersed herself in fanfiction.
- Alana from Saga – Alana enjoys reading, but the only time it really ever comes up is when she’s fangirling over the one book that really changed her life.
- Delilah from Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult– Another character obsessed with a single book…but the lucky girl gets to meet the character she’s in love with.
- Celaena from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Mass – Celaena is an avid reader and spends a good portion of the down time in this one reading or in the library.
- Tyrion Lannister from A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin – Tyrion is not a fighter, he’s a reader and he doesn’t really hide that fact. As a result he’s one of the more intelligent characters in the book, considering most of the others are busy with other baser hobbies.
- Darcy from The Mystic Wolves by Belinda Boring – Darcy is a fan of romance novels, and has plenty tucked away in her bedroom.
- Nicole from The Write Stuff by Tiffany King – Nicole is a bestselling romance writer
- Mike from The Fold by Peter Clines – Mike is a lit teacher at a high school before he gets pulled into a super secret government project.
- Katy from Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout – Katy loves reading and she does something that we also do…blogs about it!
- Montag from Faherenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury – Montag isn’t the normal book nerd…but he does basically commit one of the most illegal crimes in his world and he did it all for the love of books.
Great list. I’ll have to read Jodi Picoult’s Between the Lines.
Love this topic! Every time I see that about Obsidian, it makes me want to read. I need to just get on with it, I love the blogging theme!
