Sunday Post (160)

Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~ It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Happy Sunday everyone! Yesterday was Independence Day here in the US, so most of us got a long weekend. I had my first two day weekend since I opened the store and it was needed. I listened to a few audiobooks and played a lot of video games this past week…which basically cut down on all productivity.

  1. How lovely to have an extra day off. It sounds definitely deserved and it sounds like you used it wisely! My husband and I have just gotten back to playing video games and are having such a good time. I forgot just how much fun they were. Have a great week!

Listening to audiobooks and playing video games… sign me in! 🙂 Glad you got some time to relax
Got all the freebies (minus Escorted because I already had it) Thanks for the tip 🙂

Happy 4th, enjoy the long weekend! I haven’t been reading Capt. Marvel although I did read a few of the early ones I think- when DeConnick started. I’ve always liked Carol Danvers, so I should get back into them.

After The Winter looks good, I like the ruined Earth idea, and I see it’s a series- I may look at those a little closer. 🙂

    • Carol is always awesome…even when her storylines are a bit dull. I think Marvel just took on too much before the reboot of the universes and some of the comics suffered because of it.

I hope you have a good week Greg!

Glad you got a 2-day weekend… not as nice as a 3-day one but better than nothing. Have a great week this week.

  5. Hope you have a good long weekend. I love Red Rising and Tearling, will check out your reviews!

Glad to here you had a relaxing two day weekend doing what you wanted! The covers of your new picks looks so dramatic and awesome! I hope you enjoy them ~ HAPPY READING!

  7. I am glad you got to have a two day weekend! Hopefully in the future you will be able to hire someone to come in on Saturdays. I am looking forward to hearing what you thought about all three of your last week’s books. I keep seeing the Hedge Witch around. Maybe I will check it out. Have a fab week. 🙂

    • It will be a very long time before I can hire anyone else. The store is doing well enough for its first year, but I don’t think I’ll ever be comfortable enough in my earnings to be able to pay extra employees in a long term position.

  8. Hope you had a fabulous long weekend Michelle! How exciting that you read Red Rising! It’s one of my favourites, I hope you liked it!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed it, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
