The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~ It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
I did some movie watching this week. We bought the bundle pack of Blumkamp’s movies which has District 9, Elysium, and Chappie. We all loved District 9, so we decided it was a good deal even if we hated the other two…but we loved Chappie just as much. I will say it’s not for everyone, but I thinked I spent most of the movie either laughing or being extremely upset and we’ve been quoting it all week. I also went to see Jurassic World, Thursday night, and YES! While I won’t say it’s as good as the original movie, it’s definitely a lot of fun to watch.
I really need to buckle down and get reviews typed up. I have enough sitting in the wings to put me three weeks ahead of schedule…and yet I still haven’t typed them up.

AHHH, ONCE UPON A TIME! Love that quote 🙂
Me too!
I loved District 9 as well, but now, you have me curious about Chappie, I need to look that up ! I’ve kept an eye on The library at Mount Char, it looks interesting and I’ll love to know what you think of it. If you have 3 weeks worth of reviews, well, no need to hurry about typing, enjoy relaxing some more (yes, I’m the little devil on your left shoulder) 😉 Have a great week !
Lol, not helping! Thanks Iza!
I watched Instellar and really regretted it! I think I got it confused with something else….
I’m sitting on lots of reviews too and it’s making me uncomfortable. I just need to get them written before I forget everything about the books. I’m even reading slower because of them because I don’t want to add more books on the ‘reviews to be written’ pile.
I really need to see Jurassic park I loved the originals and have high hopes for the new one. The library at mount char looks great. Have a great week.

I like the tote that says magic comes at a price. My favorite PNR or UF books recognize that. I have never seen Jurassic Park. Maybe someday.
I really enjoyed Elysium, haven’t see the other two but Chappie did look good from the trailers!
Have a great week!

Is Chappie a lot like District 9?? It looked like it had that kind of feel. But I have a hard time seeing “BLLLLEEEEPP” as a bad guy (just in case it’s a spoiler, I have no clue if it’s a known fact). I did really like the originality of District 9 – I think I actually cried (I’m a sap).
The Library at Mount Char has been getting a lot of press lately. Hmmmm, I’ll have to see what you think.
Happy reading (& listening) next week!!
I want to see Jurassic World… I keep hearing good things. The wait is driving me nuts… maybe this week. And I hope you like Penumbra’s- I thought it was good.
I have no idea what the fandom is- but it looks cool. 🙂
You are making my heart get all racing thinking about 3 weeks worth of reviews. LOL turn the tv of woman. Hehe. Happy Reading and writing!
Lol, I know!! I’ve been hit with a serious case of the lazies.
The Library at Moutn sounds like a great pick. Hope you enjoy and have a great upcoming week and 4th of July!
Glad you found a movie that you loved. Those bundle packs can be a little risky but you can also find a new favorite. You’ve got some interesting books! I’ve been wanting to read The Library at Mount and Mr. Penumbra for awhile now. Have a great week!
Oh yes, District 9 was an interesting movie wasn’t it with the aliens and everything? I completely forgot about it! Elysium, gosh I just wish that movie was better. Matt Damon’s character was so bland.
I too loved District 9. I will have to look into Chappie. I have been waiting for my sister to get her schedule sorted out so we can go and see Jurassic World because our boys have all seen it with their friends. By the time she gets around to making time it will be at the $1.99 theater! Have a fab week. 🙂
Awesome week you had! I really want to watch Jurassic World too! Here’s my Sunday Post:
