The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~ It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
So this post will be for two weeks because I totally forgot to put my post together last weekend, and when I did remember (3 am) I was too tired to actually get back out of bed and get it together. The past two weeks have been really good for the store, and I’m hoping this momentum keeps up. I’m also doing a donation drive for the animal shelter at the store, so we’ll see how well that goes.
This week has been a heavy one though, and it’s been hard work to keep smiling. But I’ve been trying. The best friend, boyfriend and I spent one night reading from 50 Shades and basically laughed the entire time.

I gather the 4th in the 50 Shades series (Grey) is getting A LOT of bad press, so perhaps it wasn’t a good idea for EL James to keep going back for more. Though… I guess there’ll be some money in it either way.
It is getting a ton of bad attention, so I agree..James probably should have stayed away but she definitely got money out of it.
Sorry to hear that it has been a heavy week but mocking 50 with friends sounds like a perfect antidote!
It really was, sometimes you just need something completely silly to drown out the black cloud of negativity.
I know 50 shades #4 has been released but I’m not even tempted to look at it, even to make fun of it ! But I’m glad you had one relaxing, enjoyable evening to ease the tension. Take care and have a less stressful week 😉
I didn’t buy it, lol. Never in my life would I pay money for it. I’ve read portions of 50 Shades because my bookstore had a copy on several occasions and a ton of people post screenshots of the pages to laugh at. Same goes for Grey, Buzzfeed did a ‘I read Grey so you don’t have to’ post and it was hilarious.
I got solicited for the new fifty shades but haven’t heard back from them.
Have you seen the new UK hardcover copies of Harry Potter. Yay I need them!! Dorothy Must Die has been on my TRL for so long. I need to get round to it.

Have a great week.
YES! I’ve been trying not to buy them…I think I’m going to add them to my birthday wishlist. I doubt I’ll get them, but they are so gorgeous I have to try!
I loved Fangirl’s Guide! I was just talking to Geeky Book Blogger about it recently and she said it was pretty darn accurate 🙂 And I don’t think you have a H.P. problem at all! *nods head up and down* Noooooooo
I finished it today and loved it too! It’s incredibly accurate and it makes me want to shout my geekiness from the rooftops..I already do, but more so. 😛
I’ve got fangirls guide to read to, cannot wait to read it.
I totally love that you have a HP problem, it is so brilliant!
Have a good week!

Second Run Reviews
I cannot wait for your take on Invasion of the Tearling! It was definitely different, but in a way that I didn’t quite like. Others did like what she did, so it is a matter of taste. I was disappointed though, after QotT was my top book last year. And alas… Dorothy Must Die; I put off reading it because I loathed the prequel No Place Like Oz. I did however try a few weeks ago and couldn’t finish. I traded my signed HC for a HC of ADSOM, recently, and considered it a golden swap! I still have DMD as an ebook, just incase I ever (probably not) decide to finish it. I will be looking out for what you think of DMD, too. Have a wonderful week. 😀
