Sunday Post (141)

Sunday Post
The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~

It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Yesterday was tiring. I wasn’t (and still am not) feeling that great and then add two problem/creepy customers to mix and I ended up heading home early. So now I’m hoping that it’s some that will pass  and I’m not coming down with the latest strain of flu.

Despite the awful day yesterday this month has been really good for the store, but I wish the weather would just stay steady because the heating bill is definitely going to suck up all the profit I made.

Question:  Would you be interested in more reviews about bookish items I find? Like the Frostbeard candles or maybe candles from From the Page? I’d be willing to branch out to other products as well, maybe like those listed in my gift guide.

FitReaders Progress:

I’m still doing the 30 Day Flat Ab and 30 Day Butt Lift challenges, though I have hit a snag in my exercise routine since I haven’t been feeling well enough to ready exert myself too much. So once this bug or whatever starts waning I’m going to jump back in.

Last Week:

Monday: Firefight by Brandon Sanderson (Review)

Tuesday: Top Ten Things I Dislike in my Romances (Top Ten Tuesday)

Wednesday: The Martian by Andy Weir (Review)

Thursday: The Taylor Swift Tag (Reading & Ranting)

Friday: Three Simple Rules by Nikki Sloane (Review 18+)

Saturday: The Perfect Bookish Gift Guide Part 1 (Reading & Ranting)

Dead Spots

  • Dead Spots by Rhiannon Frater – I requested this from Tor and they actually sent me a copy! I am over the moon excited right now, and I’ve already started (soo good! soo creepy!)

I am waiting on my next Influenster Voxbox to show up. So expect a product review or two in the semi near future.

Glad to hear the store is doing well, and I liked your Taylor Swift post! Great idea. Hope it’s a good week for you.

  2. EWww creepy customers! They are going to be everywhere unfortunately. Good luck with your fit challenge, I think it’s a wonderful thing to participate in! The gift guide is a great idea.

  3. I totally missed the bookish gift guide last week. I will have to drop back and have a look. I requested a physical book once from a publisher, but I never heard anything back. It was so long ago I don’t even remember what the title was. 😛 Have a fab week!

  4. I’d love reviews on bookish products, buying something you haven’t seen is always scary so its good to see reviews from someone you know. Sorry about the creepy customers, that doesn’t sound fun!

  5. Ick! Sorry to hear about the problem/creepy customers. Hopefully they’re not regular visitors. Also hope it’s only a little cold and you’re not coming down with any strain of the flu. I’ve been lucky and only had it once but it was no fun. I’d love reviews on bookish products! The Frostbeard candles are on my To-Buy list partly because of your review earlier and now I’m curious about From the Page Candles. Have a great week and feel better soon!

  6. Sorry you haven’t been feeling so good, I haven’t much myself. Perhaps we’ll both be feeling better by next week! I’m excited about Dead Spots. It looks so good!

  7. Christy says:

Ugh, creepy customers are not good. Hope you’re feeling better. Yeah, reviews about other book related products would be cool.

  8. fangswandsfairy says:

Nothing worse than a creepy customer – especially if you are alone in a store. Eeeps! Glad you are feeling better.

  9. fuonlyknew says:

I hope you feel better soon. It seems like flu started early and is lingering for round to for a lot of people. Mine was over Christmas week. Second year in a row I had to miss the holidays.
I didn’t get in the tour for Dead Spots but I’d already grabbed the book. I love Rhiannon!
