The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
So the new year has been good so far, which I know isn’t saying much since it’s only been 4 days…but the fact that I’ve had 4 days of positivity is great considering the month I just got through with.
I’ve posted about this one my social media sites, but I wanted to make sure everyone has seen it just in case you missed out. The sister of one of the awesome authors at Indie Visible was victim of a burglary right after Christmas and lost pretty much everything of value. So Chelsea Starling put together a represent “Heroes Read Books” t-shirt campaign, and it has hit the goal! This means it will go to print and you’re guaranteed to get the shirt now. There are 15 days left and they are only $18. All of the proceeds will go to the victim & and their family, so they can find a safer place to live and replace their belongings. Represent Campaign

Love the shirt!
Me too! I can’t wait until mine gets here.
A lightsaber?!?! You totally win at best haul this week! That’s awesome! 😀
Woot! I’m pretty sure I’ll never be able to top this haul…unless I get another lightsaber or something equally cool.
A bunch of people received or bought HP sets this Christmas. I think I will put that on my list for next year (along with another bookshelf). I will be checking out Indie-visable, I have never come arcross it before. I am definitely sending the custom made lightsaber link to my son, so he can share it with his freinds.
He’ll thank you for it! We did the grab bag lightsabers which are about $60 and they go up depending on what options you upgrade. They don’t have sound but they are still incredible looking and sturdy (you can in fact hit things).
I’m just getting started reading the Harry Potter series. recently finished watching the DVD collection and figured the books had been sitting on my shelf long enough.
Great looking shirt and such a generous idea.

Ooh! I hope you enjoy them! I always thinks it’s exciting when someone starts reading them for the first time.
Oh, I’d love that HP box set. And that’s so awesome you can create your own light saber. I know a few people that would LOVE that.

The paperbacks are absolutely lovely and the lightsaber site is beyond cool! I’m already looking forward to my off day so I can spend a ton of time learning fighting forms (yeah I’m totally geeking out…)
Happy New Year- and that lightsaber is very cool! I will need to go check out their site… 🙂
Yes! Let me know if you have any questions about it!
Lol I love your light saber. The hubs and I were changing florescent lights in our laundry room and I was pretending it was a light saber. He called me a geek at laughed. I said, “Damn straight and proud!” I think the t-shirt fundraiser is a fab idea!
Lol, I have done the same thing! Now I can actually pretend to be an awesome Sith, without someone complaining that they need to put the light in (or put away the wrapping paper). 😛
Awesome week you had! Sorry to hear that your friend got robbed. It’s great that you are selling T-shirts to support your friend! Here’s my Sunday Post:
