Sunday Post (125)

Sunday Post
The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~

It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

So this week has been outwardly good, but I’ve been so stressed out lately and as a result I just recently went on a book buying spree for the bookstore inventory. WAY too much money was spent, but I can double it when I sell the books to customers so I’m not too worried.

I did finally get to sit down and read this past week and I’m so glad I did!

Books Read

Last Week

Monday: Larking Rising by  Sandra Waugh (Review)

Tuesday: VS Sports Bra and Workout Shorts (Product Review, thanks to Influenster)

Wednesday: The Unicorn’s Tail by A.W. Exely (Mini-Read Review)

Thursday: The Shadow Over Innsmouth by H.P. Lovecraft (Review)

Friday: Interview with Heather Hildenbrand, author of Imitation (Interview)

This Week

Monday: Cress by Marissa Meyer (Review)

The rest of the week is a toss up as I rush to read more books and get reviews typed up! I swear I’ll get ahead again at some point

Book Haul

1 2 3 4

Yeah…I know…but the good thing is none of them cost over $3. Most of these are for the store, but there are a few I know I’m going to keep. There are a few others I’m not sure about yet, so I might sneak them home again if i decide I want them. Most of these were grabbed with specific customers in mind, so hopefully they’ll be happy to see new stuff they enjoy.

For my sanity I’m not going to list all of these with the Goodreads links. If you can’t see a title just ask me in the comments and I’ll let you know what it is and the author.

  1. I love that you are ear marking books for specific customers, I wish I had a bookshop that would do that for me!
Enjoy any that find their way to your home 🙂

Sorry to hear that you’ve been stressed, hopefully this week will be better for you.
You have got a lot of awesome looking books, and as most of them are for customers I wouldn’t feel too guilty! Hope you enjoy the ones that are for you.

  3. I’m hosting a review-a-thon if you’d like to participate!! Here’s the initial post, though I’ll have another one going up this week as well.

I love hearing about the bookstore. I can’t imagine the stress but it sounds like the good is pretty amazing! That’s so great that you buy books with specific customers in mind. I do wish we had a more personal bookstore here! Have a great week!

So I gotta ask… what did you think of Clash with Kings? I liked it although it’s not my favorite of the books- the main thing I remember is doesn’t Arya do a LOT of traveling? LOL. Anyway… nice stack of books, I see Origin in there and I liked Vitro by the same author.

    • There were parts of it I loved more than the first one, but other parts of it dragged much more. Yeah, lol. Arya does end up traveling quite a bit in this one. I love the Stark kids and Tyrion…and Dany of course. I could do without Catelyn and Theon though.

I have a used book store that I go to all of the time. The owner is precious! She calls me when something I might be interested in comes in and actually looks for books for me. Such a sweetie and we chat so much I spend hours when I visit. I’m curious what you thought of Cress.
