Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~

It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Happy Mothers Day!!

I want to thank everyone who sent their condolences, I really do appreciate it. I did get to go to the funeral and for the first time ever I think it actually helped. Every time I have ever visited my family in Alabama they always seem so close and happy, and this was no exception even under the circumstances.

My week has been sort of busy, mostly thanks to a faulty alarm clock that can’t decide what time to wake me up…even though I set it for the same time nearly every day. It’s not like it’s an hour behind/ahead, because some days it wakes me up early (45 mins to and hour) and other days it wakes me up late. So I’m either really tired or really late, and it’s hard to choose which is better.

  2. Sharonr says:

Congrats on winning the books and swag. I hope you get your alarm clock drama’s sorted.
    Have a great week.
    My Sunday Post!

  3. Sorry! Apparently I can’t think of anything else to say aside from that. O_O I hate faulty alarm clocks. I suppose the tiring part is better… if you’re not falling! O_O

  4. Tanja says:

I’m glad you’re feeling better and I really hope you’ll get a new alarm clock though. You’ve got some amazing swag and freebies and I really hope you’ll enjoy them 🙂

  5. Sofia says:

Great haul – I hope they are as exciting as they appear to be. 🙂 Happy reading and have a great Sunday!

  6. finley jayne says:

Wow, you won some great looking books!

  7. Well, poo! Slow Burn wasn’t free anymore. *pouts* But your other freebie was. Yay! Your alarm clock sounds possessed. When the battery died on my little alarm, making me late for work, I decided to just use the alarm on my cell phone. It goes off and it lights up, too. Makes it harder to hit snooze on it. lol Have a great week!

  8. fangswandsfairy says:

Sorry to read you experienced a loss. But it’s great you look on the up side of good memories and visiting.

  9. The alarm clock thing sounds nuts. It’d drive me crazy. So sorry about your loss but glad your visit to your family was pleasant. Sounds like a great book week though!

  10. Greg says:

Your alarm clock sounds like it’s going a little crazy, that’s kinda funny that it’s so random (although it probably not funny when it makes you late!). but hey a little extra sleep is sometimes nice, right? 🙂 Sorry to hear about your loss, glad you had family by you to help.

    Have a great week!

  11. Slow Burn looks like a good read, hope that you love it and all your books.

  12. lab1990 says:

Ooh sounds like a tough alarm clock! Being late FOR things is never good, but I’d hate to wake up too early as well.

I just read Coffin Hill recently too; I liked it. It was different, but great artwork.

  13. Red Iza says:

I’m sorry for your loss 😦 I think all alarm clocks should be destroyed though these days, I’m awake before it rings. Coffin hill looks interesting and I just bought Red and Wolfe. Hope your week will be better 🙂

  14. Awesome swag and books! 😀 Have a great week 🙂 my sunday post: http://wp.me/p3v5T1-pM

  15. You know I never do see the point in all the crazy book mark swag. I know some people love it but I’ve always thought all those books marks are just crazy! I mean you could fill a drawer with all of them. Unless you use them once or leave them in the book they match of course haha. Ok if they’re signed their cool.

BY THE WAY – I love your book blog name – cause hey didn’t you notice I had a latin one on my pick list as well but it was taken!!

    • Thank you! It’s always awesome when some actually likes the name, lol.
I’ll be completely honest and say I’m compulsive when it comes to ‘collecting’ things. There is no way I can collect books the way I want (I won’t have furniture if I do) so I picked something easy to contain which is their swag. I’m not big on keychains/pencils and the like, but anything I can fit into a scrapbook is good enough for me! I give away all of the extras though, so it doesn’t take up any space. 🙂

  16. My alarm on my phone does that with me either it goes off early (I set it for 9 am) and sometimes it goes off at 8:30 or 9:45 so frustrating then it’ll go weeks where it wakes me up normally. Anyways, I hope you enjoy your new reads! Have a great week.
