Dewey’s #Readathon: Spring 2014

It’s time for Dewey’s Readathon again!! This is one of my favorite book events of the year and I always make sure to try and participate. You can check it out here: Dewey’s Readathon.

So I’m not sure how much reading I will get done but since I’ve been so busy lately I haven’t been able to read like I use to. I have so many books to get through and so many reviews to type.

Mid-Event Survey

1. What are you reading right now?

At the moment nothing. I literally just finished The Last Policman

2. How many books have you read so far?

3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?

I’m honestly not sure, I’m not in the mood for any I’ve listed above. I am pretty excited to see how Sunrise turns out though.

4. Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day?

Nope! This time I actually had the day to myself.

5. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?

I’ve had a couple, but it was mostly just people talking to me so I just let them talk until they were done. 😛

6. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?

How amazing the cheerleaders are! They are so nice!

7. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?

At the moment no. I haven’t had much time for challenges this year since I started so late and need to finish some review books.

8. What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year?

Actually wake up on time…

9. Are you getting tired yet?

Nope, I’m a night owl so I’ll be pretty hyped up soon.

10. Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered?

Most people know this but switch it up a bit. If you’ve got a stack of paranormal books through in a contemp or sci-fi. If you’ve been sitting inside all day go hang out outside for a bit. If you’ve been trudging through a paperback, find an audiobook. Switching things up keeps it fun and doesn’t make things seem so monotonous or forced.

  4. I am trying to control myself and not buy The Forever Song until after BEA in case I am able to pick it up there.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed it, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
