Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~

It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Hey guys!! Happy Father’s day to all of those awesome daddys out there! So this past week has been a busy one! E3 took up most of my attention the first 4 days of the week with all of it’s shiny new consoles, video games, and controversy….and then because I didn’t do what I intended for 4 days I ended up behind on everything else! I did get to see Ironman 3 though, and I loved it! I also now own 2 stuffed Pokemon (Charmander and Squirtle)…they were cute, the store was going out of business, and something childhood obsessions just don’t die, lol. Anyway! This week on the 2oth In Libris Veritas will be 3 years old!!

  1. Indelible looks so pretty. I loved The Raven Boys, it’s just so original and I love MS’s writing style. I got TFIOS this as well but I’m scared to read it! Great haul, enjoy 🙂

  2. Book Blather says:

Love your library picks! I’m off to goodreads in a sec to find out more about Insignia. I downloaded the Raven Boys from SYNC this week as well, looking forward to it!

I didn’t get to read Golden while it was free. :/ I had too much going on to fit it in. I don’t think I realized you were a gamer. I am a huge gamer myself! Just picked up The Last of Us on Friday, which I have been DYING to get my hands on. Have a great week!

    • I really enjoyed it, so I hope you get to read it eventually. Yep, I’m a gamer! (because my wallet doesn’t hurt enough trying to buy books). The Last of Us is so gorgeous!! I was watching a friend play and we wasted so much time making him do stupid things like spin chairs, lol.

Why is WP giving me such a hard time commenting? This is the 2nd blog that wouldn’t let me use Twitter or my actual details (name, blog, email). Grrrr.

  10. Enjoy! Love the She Hulk you are currently reading!

  11. did you see all the states that won’t have access to MS new online gamer..thankfully we have PS3 and are drooling over PS4..well not me. I am just an observer. My peeps are exctied! I really need to read Shadow and Bone and look forward to your review! The Sunday Post

  12. Christy @ Love of Books says:

Ha – yeah, my son is in summer school, so I had to send him E3 updates during breaks. We’re Sony people, so the Xbox 1 wasn’t even a contender to begin with. I know a lot of people who are pissed at Microsoft now. I saw a joke and thought it was funny:

    Playstation – 4
    Xbox – 1

    Great haul, too, Michelle.

    • Lol! I’m one of those pissed off people. I’m a equal gamer, so I have most of the systems, but the 360 is the one I go to. I could play the One without being affected by the BS but it’s the principle behind it, so I’ll end up with a PS4.

  13. Omg, Blogoversary! I’m so excited for you hehe! Mine is coming up next month, my 1 year. Anything special planned, or is it a surprise? Amazing, amazing library scores. Enjoy!

My Stacking the Shelves this week

    • I’m really hoping to hold a giveaway for everyone, but I’m still trying to iron out the details due to money issues. I’m trying to decided the best prize, because I want an international option as well. So I guess it’s a surprise ,lol. 😛

  14. Octavia says:

Ok so umm I’m really jealous you have Indelible! I know I only have a few weeks left but I’m so impatient!

Jealousy aside, awesome haul ma’am! I really liked The Raven Boys and I completely adored Shadow and Bone!

    *p.s. HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY…in 3 days that is 😉 *

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed it, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
