Friday Memes #10

Q: If you could have characters from a particular book meet and form an epic storyline with characters from a particular TV series, which would you choose and why?

Honestly I have no clue. I thought about something like The Hunger Games meets America’s Next Top Model. Where you have the characters trying to survive in this crazy dystopian game show but also trying to become models. But I honestly don’t think I’d watch that hehe.

β€œWhat is your favorite spooky book (i.e. mystery/suspense, thriller, ghost story, etc.)?”

I would love to say Dracula or Edgar Allen Poe, but while they were dark and kind of creepy they didn’t really scare me. Though the short film that went with Tell Tale Heart was quite scary. Anyway! I would have to say The Darkstone Chronicles by John Saul, because it kept me up at night. I really enjoyed them and I hate being scared. So far it’s about the only book to really get to me like that.

It’s no where special really, I usually just curl up on my bed and read. It’s super comfy…sometimes too comfy though because I end up falling asleep. I’d take a picture but it’s currently a mess from where I cleaned my floors and piled everything on it.

Omg Hunger Games with America’s Next Top Model would be the sickest reality show around hahaha. Could you imagine Ms. Jay directing a runway walk off to the death?!

I love Edgar Allen Poe. His stories are so clever but you are right, they aren’t as spooky today as they probably were in his time.

    Here’s my Friday Hop

  4. Tell Tale Heart… what a great choice… I have never heard of The Darkness Chronicles…but not being a lover of horror…I’d have to say that now I will not venture to find it .. LOL… come on over and check out what I wrote!

Both are excellent choices in the way of spooky and suspenseful books. πŸ™‚ Ironically, we’re having a storyteller come to my library to recite Poe’s “The Raven” and a few other poems by him. It’s sure to be a chilling recitation. Thank you for sharing, and happy hopping!

  6. ANTMs mixed with The Hunger Games would be hilarious. But would it be a reality show, or scripted? If it’s a reality then it wouldn’t be so funny… πŸ˜€

    • Good question! I have no idea, that’s why I said I’m not sure if I’d watch it. If it wasn’t scripted it would be pretty brutal…so I guess for the sake of not being evil, it would scripted. lol

  7. Niina C says:

LOL! Great answer, I’d watch that. πŸ˜‰

  10. The Hunger Games X ANTM would make a very interesting show to say the least. I think I’d find it disturbing/amusing.

And I read on my bed too! Love being comfy and snuggled under my blankets. πŸ™‚
